Great thank you Eric! Having trouble downloading the latest build - it is slow and stalls out at 200/500MB, even though other large files download fine - could be an issue on my end but just letting you know in case it is a server issue Cheers and happy new year! Oli

I am able to download the daily build without any problem, but I am at UCSF so it may well work great for me but not for you. I'll try again when I get home and see how that works.

Available in next daily build as the "Always show structure model number in specifiers" checkbox in the Labels preference category. Since the routine for generating strings for atoms/residues/chains/structures is used throughout ChimeraX, if you turn this preference on then you will also always get model numbers in some other forms of output, such as clashes / contacts / hydrogen bonds. To avoid that, if you care, you would have to temporarily uncheck the preference.
Also, the name of the preference might change if Elaine comes up with better wording, but that is only cosmetic and it will continue to remember your saved preference even if the name changes.
