ChimeraX failed to start on your Linux system (CentoOS Stream 9) because the Qt window toolkit could not initialize OpenGL graphics. Does it fail to start every time, or just this one time? If it fails every time it is probably from either a faulty graphics driver or from the Linux desktop environment you are using.

Aha! Thanks for that info. Displaying 3D graphics (OpenGL) using a remote X-windows connection with ssh rarely works. It often requires the same exact graphics driver running on both computers. We usually suggest instead using a remote desktop application to run ChimeraX remotedly, so the graphics is rendered on the same machine that ChimeraX runs on, and the image of the desktop is sent to the other computer.

The error means that the Qt window toolkit which uses OpenGL graphics to render the user interface could not initialize OpenGL, no doubt because of the ssh connection. The bug report didn't indicate anything about an ssh connection. Thanks for clarifying. Glad it is working with the updated driver.
