Looking at information about your computer's configuration, I don't see anything obvious that would cause ChimeraX to fail to start up.

Does this happen every time?

If so, things to try are (1) remove the file history -- "rm ~/.local/share/ChimeraX/file_history", (2) switch to a different version of the proprietary NVidia graphics driver, (3) update to the current daily build of ChimeraX. It would probably easier to try (3) before (2).

If it doesn't happen all of the time, then either (2) or (3) will be needed to fix it.

The error message "Qt fatal error: Failed to initialize graphics backend for OpenGL" says the Qt window toolkit could not use OpenGL.  So that is almost surely a graphics driver problem, so updating your graphics driver is the most likely fix.
