This error usually means that your installed CUDA version is incompatible with your display driver version. See https://docs.nvidia.com/deploy/cuda-compatibility/index.html#use-the-right-compat-package - each CUDA version has both a minimum *and* maximum supported display driver. Best bet is to update your CUDA. By the way, I'd also strongly recommend updating ChimeraX and ISOLDE to the latest version (currently 1.4, with 1.5 coming out soon).
