Again, some commands in log despite this being a startup crash.

On Windows, each time you double click the ChimeraX desktop icon it starts another copy of ChimeraX. So it is very easy to start multiple ChimeraX instances. On the Mac it just brings up the already running instance it is much less likely to have multiple ChimeraX instances running at the same time.
