#597 closed defect (can't reproduce)

sometimes windowsize doesn't work and contents go gray

Project: ChimeraX

Description

By "don't work" I mean the graphics window area does not become the requested size, although the dimensions will usually change. At the same time the other parts of the ChimeraX window might expand but look blank, and the graphics window area is also gray or gray with black stripes or dashed lines. This is not easily reproducible although I've encountered it in at least 3 different sessions. Once ChimeraX is in this state, it stays until exited, that is, you can try to use windowsize over and over and things will just get crazier, never resulting in the desired size. Not able to reproduce this on another Mac laptop. Seems likely to be Qt bug. The windowsize command simply asks that the top level window be resized.

We have updated to newer Qt versions since this Qt bug was observed. Have not seen this myself in many months so I'm guessing it is fixed.
