#596 closed defect (can't reproduce)

sometimes silhouettes still shown after structures closed

Reported by: Elaine Meng Owned by: Tom Goddard
Priority: minor Milestone:
Component: Graphics Version:
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Notify when closed: Platform: all
Project: ChimeraX

Description

Not reproducible although I have encountered it at least twice. Hardware specs given below. If I remember correctly, an image saved when the ChimeraX window shows these lingering silhouettes does not itself contain the silhouettes, and forcing the window to redraw such as by resizing or trying to rotate makes the lingering silhouettes go away.

I have not been able to reproduce this on a Mac laptop with nvidia graphics.

Very likely a graphics driver bug. Also seems harmless except for being distracting. Possibly a driver update has fixed this.
