This looks like an issue we've seen with the Intel graphics driver. It is really weird. I'm hoping that Qt 6.2 works better.

Status: assigned → closed

There are a couple previous reports of this crash. Ticket did some debugging on it. May have been related to graphics driver or some other Windows system configuration issue. ChimeraX would not start for that user. User reverted Windows 10 and ChimeraX worked.
