Are you running ChimeraX with remote display (ie. ChimeraX running on one machine with the display on a different machine)? Your startup shows this error which is an X windows error message

We have seen this same startup error related to showing the "Rapid access" which means the file history thumbnail images shown in the graphics area at startup. I put a possible fix for that into the ChimeraX daily build a few days ago. So you might try the daily build.

The fix I tried for this ChimeraX startup crash on Linux of waiting until the main window is shown before putting the file history thumbnails in the graphics window did not solve the problem, although it may have reduced its frequency. Bug shows the same crash in a ChimeraX version with the fix. This appears to be a Qt bug and I don't have any further leads. We may have to wait for an update to the Qt toolkit to fix this. In several months we plan to update from Qt 5.15 to 6.2, a major Qt update.
