Volume solid style display currently only shows a stack of xy planes. Should automatically switch to xz or yz planes as view direction changes as done by Chimera 1.

Great! I realized that the issue with solid display is that the appearance is severely directionally dependent, so from the initial viewing direction nothing was showing up.
