2dlabels creation/deletion sometimes not shown in Model Panel

Image attached: I created a label with symbols and another with text, then use "2d delete" to delete both. They disappear from the graphics window as expected. However, the symbols one is still shown in the Model Panel. I've also seen the convse problem that I create the label but it is not listed in the Model Panel. I don't know if it's related to that label being symbols or not. When I saw that problem, it was with a symbols label and I could select it (showing green rectangle) with "select #2.8" but there was no model #2.8 listed in the Model Panel.

I probably got the Component wrong, reclassify as needed.

Can you reproduce this? Is model #2 really gone? You can check with the command "info #2".

This sounds like a problem with Model Panel updating.

It is sporadic but happened in variant situations at least 3 times.  I believe the models are actually created and deleted according to the other commands like they are supposed to be, and it is just a problem with what Model Panel is showing (as you said).  Certainly when the model was not listed in Model Panel but evident in the graphics window, I could select it with “select #N”.  If I come up with a guaranteed recipe, will add it to this ticket, but I suspect there may not be one.

Now I suspect it’s just related to that same graphics full-window toggle issue.  If I create the 2D label (plain text or symbols doesn’t matter) when I’m in the full-window mode, the label model does not appear in the Model Panel visible when I toggle out of that mode.  If I create the label mode when not in full-window mode the model does show up.  This is reproducible in several tests.
