This crash is caused by a bug in the Mac Qt window toolkit used by ChimeraX and sometimes happens when disconnecting or connecting an external display or waking from sleep. We don't have a fix for this. We are using a newer version of Qt (6.7 instead of 6.6) in the ChimeraX daily build which may crash less often. You could try that. Best to save your work before switching displays or sleeping the computer.

We are looking for a way to work around this crash but have not yet come up with anything.

Mac Qt 6.6 crash in displayConfigFinalizedProc.
