Description
Dear ChimeraX team, I have downloaded the latest chimerax-daily.exe from 03 May 2024. Afterwards I installed the programme under Windows 11. Unfortunately, the programme does not start. I entered the following command at the command prompt in Windows: "C:\Program Files\ChimeraX\bin\ChimeraX-console.exe" -debug. I have attached the output (Debug_ChimeraX.txt) for you. I have also deleted the UCSF folder in the directory C:\Users\Tennstedt\AppData\Local\. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. Can you please help me? Best Regards Stephanie Tennstedt Dr. rer. nat. In the debug output, I see:
"Your computer has Intel graphics driver 7925 with a known bug that causes all Qt user interface panels to be blank. ChimeraX can partially fix this but may make some panel titlebars and edges black. Hopefully newer Intel graphics drivers will fix this."
So please update your graphics/display driver. The first place to look for an updated driver is your computer manufacturer's support web site. If there isn't a newer version there, then you will need to go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/.
After you update the driver, please let us know if that fixed the problem or not.
