Description
Volume onesmask cannot be Guassian filtered with SD > 0.8

To reproduce:
shape cylinder
volume onesmask #1
volume gaussian #2 sDev 2

Result:
all voxels are 0 in the gaussian filtered volume

Expected result:
A cylinder with softened edges depending on the sDev value

As you can see in the ChimeraX Log panel your ones mask has values that are 8-bit integers and when you Gaussian smooth that it makes a copy keeping the same 8-bit integer type. If you smooth values that are 1 and 0 you will get values less than 0.5 with enough smoothing so all values will be 0 since they are integers. To make the gaussian smoothed version floating point use

volume gaussian #2 sDev 2 value float32
