Discussion

• ChimeraX 1.8 release
  • Eric has 4 bugs that came in this weekend he will fix for 1.8. None seem difficult except possibly the spurious Mac file drop events generated for command-line arguments.
  • Zach has finished a few of the segmentation fixes for 1.8 and thinks he needs 2 more days to complete the 1.8 segmentation work.
  • Greg has fixed some still open 1.8 bugs. Says all enhancement tickets for 1.8 will be moved to 1.9. Working on getting flatpak Linux version into daily builds and release candidates.
  • Tom working on reproducing Mac dual display crash being reported about 1 time per day currently. Today a user described how they reproduce it, ChimeraX on external display with laptop closed, unplug external display, open laptop (after going home, so probably also sleeping).
  • We will discuss again 1.8 progress this Thursday. Next Monday is a holiday so no ChimeraX meeting.
  • All 1.8 tickets that will not be done for 1.8 should be remilestoned by Thursday so only the actual 1.8 open tickets are listed in the 1.8 Roadmap.

  • Eric looking at missing segment label error encountered by Greg.
  • Tom making deep-mutational scan interactive scatter plot.
