Agenda

• Release candidate schedule for end of April ChimeraX 1.6 release.
• Chimera/ChimeraX notarization scripts need updating ​#7234
• Should we accept 10% bigger ChimeraX from Qt 6.4 and pandas?
• ChimeraX Ideas milestone clean-up.
• Install Splunk on plato to monitor web services.
• Make Chimera release this year?
  • Opal will be shutdown on plato around mid-May, so release before that.
• Back up the Chimera build machine to a solid state drive, Windows 7?
• Toolshed bundle requirement checking
• Discuss possible OpenMM and VR improvements for Tristan and Altos to pursue
• Arrow graphic for Mac dmg file

Discussion

• ChimeraX 1.6 release
  • Greg will branch and make release candidates Wednesday March 22.
  • Release will be made before May 1 NIH R01 annual report deadline.

• Chimera release
  • Will make Chimera 1.17 release about same time as ChimeraX release.
  • New release will have web services that don't use Opal. Those have been in use in Chimera daily builds for several weeks now.
  • New release will have session converter that handles volumes. Tom will add that.
  • This may be the last Chimera release.
  • Greg asked if we should turn of Chimera daily builds after release.
  • Decided we should let Chimera daily builds run until hardware or software problems stop them.

• Pandas
  • PyPi package pandas got into ChimeraX about a month ago as a dicom package dependency.
  • It is quite large (50-100 MB?).
  • Zach thinks it is not being used by our DICOM code and will try to remove it.

• Present github continuous integration tutorial. Zach
• Beta releases on Toolshed - make ticket for this. Greg
