• BLAST and Modeller web services code walk-through by Zach
  • Discussed whether run_job() return value should always be JSON.
  • Discussed backend and client methods to implement a new web service.
  • Zach will test and enable the new REST backend and blast in daily builds.

• Qt 6 tech preview
  • We have a four bug reports on the Qt 6 tech preview so far
    • VR menus broken
    • webcam command broken, using removed video streaming class
    • crash at startup on Mac, possibly not related to qt 6, but never seen before.
    • QFileDialog enumeration problem with Modeller Comparative tool.
  • Remember need to keep code Qt 5 compatible to support old Linux ChimeraX 1.4 release.
