- Tom Ferrin working on R01 and R15 NIH study section grant reviews.
- R15 grant involves undergraduates doing research.
- Study section is supposed to meet next Tuesday and Wednesday, but may not because of government shutdown.
- ChimeraX R35 grant review
- Our R35 was supposed to be reviewed October 23-24, but may be delayed due to government shutdown.
- ChimeraX license for plugin developer
- Peter Schmidtke asked for free license to develop ChimeraX plugin to access commercial structure database.
- Lab agrees that is fine for open source ChimeraX plugin developers even if it is part of their company work.
- Kerberos 3DES
- Plato was not able to use Rocky default Kerberos because it needed 3DES for unclear reasons.
- Greg figured out 3DES was used to encrypt old passwords for making sure new passwords were different.
- Greg has updated comparison method so default Rocky Kerberos can be used.
- Windows ChimeraX installer signing
- Greg described Yubikey steps to do code signing.
- NAS internet access
- Network attached storage drive for plato can no longer access internet for updates.
- Greg will reopen ticket with UCSF IT so updates can be obtained.
