Fixed.

User restored a session and a volume file was missing and they did not replace it. That volume was being used to color a surface and so the surface coloring failed with a traceback. I fixed the code so the surface coloring just gives a warning message that the coloring was not restored. There was already code to give that warning from 5 years ago but it did the wrong test so it didn't work.
