#9459 closed defect (fixed)

Read DICOM files that don't have .dcm (or any) extension

Description

At our last meeting I told Zach I would report this, so here it is.

Some of the DICOM files that we regularly encounter don’t have an extension on the individual file name, and these can’t be read by the ChimeraX DICOM reader. The workaround is to add a .dcm extension to all the files, but it would be better if ChimeraX could read them directly.

Thanks,

Phil
