Description

Would like alternative to/replacement for Residue::polymer_type() that includes glycans. This would be useful for a 3D-SNFG extension. ​https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK310273/

In ChimeraX, polymer_type is not None only for residues in linear polymeric chains. Glycans form branching chains and therefore don't fit into that paradigm. Nonetheless, there could be some alternative means of identifying glycans, such as a different Residue method, or a selector.
