These OpenGL graphics errors are either a problem in the Qt window toolkit or in the Mac OpenGL. The problem is very likely related to the dual AMD and Intel graphics. Unfortunately Apple OpenGL is rather unstable. If you are using two displays (the laptop display and an external display) ChimeraX may work if you start on a single display.

You might also want to try the current ChimeraX version 1.6 which uses a slightly newer version of the Qt window toolkit 6.4 instead of 6.3 in ChimeraX 1.5 which you are using now.
