api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll is expected by Chimera to already be on your computer.
Which version of Windows are you running?

FYI, the solution might be that you have to update your version of Windows. Which is why I'd like to know which version you currently have.

I am using Windows 7. Does it support Chimera X installation? Regards, Arvind On Sat, Apr 29, 2023 at 6:52 AM ChimeraX <ChimeraX-bugs-admin@cgl.ucsf.edu> wrote:

As documented on https://www.cgl.ucsf.edu/chimerax/system_requirements.html, Windows 7 is not supported. Windows 10 is the minimum version. And according to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-10-home-and-pro, Windows 10 will be "retired" on Oct 14, 2025. So there's a good chance that we will require Windows 11 at the end of 2025. You should consider upgrading your computer or switching the operating system to Ubuntu Linux. Good luck.
