Description (last modified by )
I've recently encountered some DICOM datasets that don't appear as volumes or planes unless the threshhold line is at something like
volume #1.1.1 level -1000,0 level 376.8,1 level 3000,1
which washes all the contrast out of the file. Surface, mesh, and maximum views look normal though. Seems to have something to do with the _patient_axes function. Different values break some datasets vs others.

Note to self: in the future it would be good to include which specific dataset was causing the problem, so in two years you know where you've left off.
