comes from code I added after ChimeraX 1.4, May 27, 2022, https://github.com/RBVI/ChimeraX/commit/e9b82455dd3eb93783e3720900db11c86933e2e4
The Python traceback shows it in rapid_access_shown Linux crashes at startup are often reported (30-50 times?).
I'm surprised we have seen this failed to initialize opengl qt fatal error more often if that is the cause of the rapid_access_shown crashes.
