Greetings everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the shape of the eraser tool for manually deleting map densities. By default, it is a circle, but a flat surface could be really useful in many circumstances.

Yes, it would be important to be able to rotate the cube. 

An alternative feature that would accomplish the same end in most cases would be to allow the user to split the volume into two separate volumes using a plane - I am not sure which would be easier to implement?

Plane or cube is possible and seem about equally amounts of work to implement. Probably cube has some more uses. Not likely either will get implemented in the next 6 months due to many competing tasks such as grant renewals.
