Description
Dear ChimeraX developers,
I have recently installed chimeraX 1.4 on my macbook, but instead been installed as an APP, now it is insalled as ChimeraXInstaller. It is totally different from before, as it is getting much slower to open the app on my laptop. And if you delete the installer, the ChimeraX no longer works. How could I fix this issue?

Hi Runrun,

When you download ChimeraX for a Mac you get a .dmg file. Double-clicking on that .dmg file brings up a Finder window showing a "virtual disk" titled ChimeraXInstaller, and the window shows the ChimeraX application. The intent is that you drag the ChimeraX application from the ChimeraXInstaller window to someplace for it to be permanently installed on your file system (such as your Desktop or Applications). Then unmount the ChimeraXInstaller virtual disk (go to some other Finder window and click on the "eject" icon next to ChimeraXInstaller on the left) and delete the .dmg file. Just run ChimeraX directly from the location you copied it to.
