Description
If I have models in ChimeraX and close them all with "close", then open another model, the previous image of the models that were closed displays briefly in the main graphics window before the new one is shown. It is hard to see if you open something small like 1gcn, but more obvious if you open something slightly larger and slower to open, say 5cbf.
Occurs in daily build on Mac laptop (info below) but also observed in yesterday's build on Mac desktop.
UCSF ChimeraX version: 0.1 (2017-06-16)
OpenGL version: 4.1 INTEL-10.25.13
OpenGL renderer: Intel Iris Pro OpenGL Engine
OpenGL vendor: Intel Inc.

Fixed by Tom G, who said (via email): I fixed the ghost molecule display after you close all models in ChimeraX, then open a new model, and file history hides. It now shows all black when file history hides. Also side view now updates even when rapid access file history is shown (e.g. during a roll) — that was the same bug.
I've verified in the current daily build that it is indeed fixed.
