Description
Hi All, Recently I finished a project on my Linux running ubuntu 18.04, and would like to do a fresh install of a newer OS. It seems that ChimeraX 1.4, for example, won't support Ubuntu 18.04 or Centos7 due to Qt compatibility issues, making me curious what you all might recommend. A major consideration for me is how easy it is to troubleshoot installs with Sbgrid and community support (which was strong for Ubuntu 18.04). I presume you might recommend Centos8<https://sbgrid.org/wiki/operatingsystems>. Is that right? I came across a YouTube video suggesting Red Hat might be withdrawing LTS for Centos 7/8, and was curious if this changed the way Sbgrid thinks about the recommended linux distro. _____________________________ Jacob R.
