Description

The contents of the "Name" field are not informative. What do you think about putting the Representative ID information (apparently the UniProt ID) as the "Name" instead? Then if you show alignment you would see the UniProt ID of that sequence in the sequence window.

I'm guessing the number shown as "Name" currently is a cluster ID, but presumably what is actually blasted, and gives the score, and is retrieved to show in a alignment is that single representative, not the whole cluster. Instead of "Representative ID" we could have a "Cluster ID" (not shown by default) that is the current contents of the "Name" field.

Related minor text issue is that as commented in #5241: Currently the context menu choice is "Open UniRef webpage" for the uniref hits. Should instead be "Open UniProt Webpage" with UniProt instead of Uniref, and Webpage capitalized since the other entries have title capitalization.

Another suggestion for UniRefN search results is to change "Cluster Members" to "Cluster Size" since it just lists the number of sequences in the cluster and does not actually list the members.

In this comment I will try to summarize all of the recommendations for names of columns from uniref searches. As far as I can tell (correct me if I'm wrong), these results include the following fields which I suggest renaming as follows, with explanations in parentheses:

Reference ID -> Name (it appears to contain UniProt entry name https://www.uniprot.org/help/entry_name )
Name -> Cluster ID
Cluster Members -> Cluster Size
Taxonomic Name -> Species (although value may be broader than species, consolidating almost-same columns is better for users)

Taxonomic ID -> [delete?] (seems to be empty, should not be listed in column config panel if unirefN hits don't contain it; you would still have it in AlphaFold results, however, which do contain values)
UniProt ID -> [keep as is] (appears to contain UniProt accession number https://www.uniprot.org/help/accession_numbers which are different than UniProt entry name, as explained in https://www.uniprot.org/help/difference%5Faccession%5Fentryname )
