Starting tools is part of Alpha 2 target; push window configuration component until some later time.

Control over tool autostart offered via context menus. No window config save yet.

Simple first step would be to preserve last-used overall window size

Control over initial overall window size implemented. Now for individual tool windows...

Status: accepted → closed

Can control default side new tools appear on, and which side an individual tool appears, or whether it should float and at what size. No size control for docked tools. I don't know that such control is possible.
