This is a Mac Qt window toolkit bug "Could not find virtual screen for QCocoaScreen". There is no Qt bug report for it but another application has discussed it

and it has to do with your two external displays and possibly with buggy Mac DisplayLink drivers.

Does this error happen every time you start ChimeraX or just sometimes? If you start with the Mac laptop open so its screen is active does it work? Does it work with no external displays connected?

I suspect there is nothing we can do about this as the problem is either in the Qt window toolkit or macOS 11.6. Since the above discussion suggests it is related to DisplayLink displays possibly connecting your external display with a usbc to hdmi cable instead of display port might fix it. Sorry I have no great suggestion.
