Can you try this sequence of actions again on the daily build tomorrow? 1.3/the Qt GUI should make this ticket redundant, somehow.

comment:2 by Elaine Meng, 4 years ago

This is in the 1.2.5 production release, not the daily build, so as far as I know nothing for you (Zach) to worry about. Not to mention that in the daily build I cannot blast NR successfully, ticket #5220

Summary: ChimeraX bug report submissionSaving session gives OpenMM SyntaxWarning "is" vs "=="

This exact set of steps with ChimeraX 1.2.5 does not give these warnings for me. Can you reproduce this? Nothing you did should use OpenMM. In fact only using ISOLDE or tug or minimize mouse modes should use OpenMM, and the warnings are from OpenMM. So I am completely baffled how this could happen.

in reply to:  4 ; comment:4 by Elaine Meng, 4 years ago

I figured it was probably not reproducible, but reported it just to "put it on the record" since it seemed completely weird and out of the blue. So I wasn't expecting a fix anyway. I suspect it was some strange confluence of switching between daily build and 1.2.5. I wasn't using ISOLDE or those mouse modes in that particular session, but maybe I did use them along time ago with 1.2.5. Can try reproducing but I wouldn't hold your breath... and just trying will take a long time since it included an nr search.

in reply to:  5 ; comment:5 by goddard@…, 4 years ago

NR search took about a minute for me. If you try and do not reproduce I will close it since there are no clues how OpenMM could be used given the steps shown in the log.

comment:6 by Elaine Meng, 4 years ago

Resolution: can't reproduce
Status: assignedclosed

not reproducible in a couple of tries, and completely mysterious
