As per 8/12/2021 group meeting notes 12 August 2021:

Don't ask user to reregister after 365 days without contacting toolshed, but check for new releases weekly and include UUID in that check for grant reporting purposes.

Does ChimeraX still ask users to reregister every 365 days?
