Description
Could well be a false detection, but my university-installed McAfee scanner thinks one of the .pyd files in the daily build Windows distribution (specifically numpy/random/_generator.cp39-win_amd64.pyd) is a trojan (Artemis!174B4BC402FD) and deletes it without recourse, causing ChimeraX to fail to launch.

Current ChimeraX daily builds use the standard PyPi numpy 1.21.0 distribution on Windows, Mac and Linux.

So it's just McAfee being ridiculous. Sigh... will see if I can tone it down.

Almost certainly a false positive, and really a McAfee bug - apparently virus scanners are notorious for deciding perfectly innocent .pyd files are something nefarious. Annoying as hell, though.
