Hi Eric, I truncated sequence of a longer protein and I was in a process of making sure that the N-terminal residue has the right form. So I either was using the Rotamers tool or Modify structure to make sure that I have NH3. I have been doing this several times for different proteins so I am not sure on which step I was exactly when program crashed. Hi Jozef,
Thanks for getting back to me. I tried truncating the N terminus of a protein and then using Build Structure to rebuild the NH3 and (unfortunately?) it worked. So there's more to it somehow. Nonetheless, the info you provide is valuable in case other reports come in. Also, future versions of ChimeraX will include more information in these reports, so I may have a better chance of determining the necessary steps to reproduce the crash in the future.

Hi Eric, Yes. I have been successful in doing the same thing a few times directly before the crash. Thus I am not sure what was different that caused a crash. As the usual with the Murphy's law the crash happened at the last of a series of modification before I saved the data... Thanks for looking into it.
