Description

Hello,

I am currently trying to use Autodock Vina through Chimera and I am
following some tutorials that show how to access Vina directly through the
"tools" tab in Chimera. However, I am unable to get this to work. I saw
that you have directions to change the executable location to local but I
don't think this is working either. Is there any way for me to access Vina
through the Chimera software?

Thank you,
Nicole Ostrovsky

Hi Nicole,

You sent this to the address for reporting bugs in our new ChimeraX program (chimerax-bugs@…). The correct address for Chimera bugs is chimera-bugs@….
The web server that Chimera used to provide direct execution of AutoDock Vina does not exist anymore, so you have to use local execution. Can you provide more detail about what went wrong when you tried local execution. What error message did you get?

Hi Eric,

Sorry for the late response. I have actually come to a resolution myself
and it ended up being that I don’t need to use the vina function at all.
Thanks for your help!

Nicole
