Description
Non-alpha helix types and strand ordering and sheet membership from the HELIX and SHEET records are forgotten when a PDB file is read, and not included when a PDB file is written out. I do not know if this also applies to mmCIF input/output but I suspect it does. Examples: 3.10 helix in 2jqs is written out as alpha helix, 1vrx strand information (other than that the residues are strand) is also missing from output PDB file.
