Dear Tom,
I am glad to see that my email was able to pass the moderators!
Yes, I mean that the cell and symmetry can be read from a pdb file or from an mtz file, and used to generate coordinates/density - and for that matter any other graphical object - anywhere in the visible area. If you are doing this, what library would you use? cctbx? It tends to be rather challenging to patch symmetry into a system once it is built, which is why I ask about the chimeraX plans.
Thank you,
Airlie
