Description (last modified by )
The following bug report has been submitted:
Platform: macOS-10.15.7-x86_64-i386-64bit
ChimeraX Version: 1.2.dev202010262104 (2020-10-26 21:04:12 UTC)
Description
In my personal build, at startup it brings up the "Update Bundles" dialog for HKCage. I click Cancel. Thereafter, every time I start up, it brings up the "Update Bundles" dialog for HKCage. There needs to be some way to specify "I am not interesting in installing these bundles" so that the dialog doesn't show again until there is in fact something else new to install.

Did some testing. This doesn't seem to be a problem in 1.0 or 1.1, but is a problem in the daily build.

Every user with the daily build has this dialog appearing on every start. This needs to be fixed right away. I've checked in code to disable the dialog as a stop gap, in toolshed_utils/tool.py show().

Fixed. The code for detecting if the chosen toolshed had changed, eg., preview vs. regular, always thought that there was a change. So it reloaded the list of available bundles. The fix should also fix the startup time regression.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Is this _only_ a problem in my personal build -- or does it affect regular ChimeraX installs? If the former, how do I turn off the dialog?
