Description
The following bug report has been submitted:
Platform: Darwin-19.6.0-x86_64-i386-64bit
ChimeraX Version: 1.1rc202009070534 (2020-09-07 05:34:34 UTC)
Description
Building my docs via Sphinx is broken in the release candidate for both Linux and Mac - looks like when I run:
$(CHIMERAX_EXE) -m sphinx docs/source src/docs/user
... then the library search path isn't being instantiated correctly:
/Applications/ChimeraX.app/Contents/bin/ChimeraX -m sphinx docs/source src/docs/user
Running Sphinx v3.1.1

Reason: image not found
Clipper works just fine in the ChimeraX GUI, so the problem seems restricted to just that execution mode.

There's a missing import in this case. Normally, chimerax.arrays is already imported so the library has already been loaded. If you import chimerax.arrays before importing clipper, the bug should go away.

I left out a step. It should be:
from chimerax import arrays arrays.load_libarrays()
That preloads the arrays shared library so subsequent shared library loads will find it.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
I can limp through document generation for now by first setting the
LD_LIBRARY_PATHto point to the required directories. In Linux:... leads to a successful run.
