#3677 closed defect (fixed)

per-model clipping status not saved in session

Reported by: Elaine Meng Owned by: Tom Goddard
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: Surface Version:
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Notify when closed: Platform: all
Project: ChimeraX

Description

The attached session was saved with atomic model clipping off, surface model clipping on. Should look like the attached image. Session and image made with attached cxc file followed by interactive positioning of models and clip plane.

Also does not save cap coloring which I guess I'll make a separate ticket for.

Resolution: fixed
Status: assignedclosed

Fixed in 1.2.

The allow_clipping attribute was not saved in sessions. Once that was fixed there were issues in how session restore propagates allow_clipping and accept_shadows, ... from parent models to child drawings, for instance the bonds of the structure were clipped but the atoms were not after session restore. I fixed this but could cause wide-spread trouble so not putting it in 1.1 release.
