Hi John,
Thanks for reporting this problem. It is fixed now and the fix will be in the next release candidate. I think you can use the one your already installed without any problems though.

What failed was the desktop integration. So double-clicking on a PDB file won't work. And, if your desktop environment has a menu, ChimeraX won't be in it. ChimeraX will still work just fine.
