The following bug report has been submitted: Platform: Linux-3.10.0-1062.9.1.el7.x86_64-x86_64-with-centos-7.7.1908-Core ChimeraX Version: 0.93 (2020-04-03) Description This is a pretty obscure case, and perhaps more a case of user error than a bug... but I'm working on a model passed to me where multiple chains have a free valine residue bound as a ligand. The original modeller has chosen to put all these in their own chain, with consecutive numbering... I'm sure you can see where this is going. Makes for a rather comical-looking cartoon! Well, obviously a chain is a series of connected polymeric residues, which is not what this modeler is doing. In such a case, you get what you get. These bound valines should have been treated in the input file the same way as any other bound ligand, which in PDB terms would mean: same chain ID as the chain it's bound to, but placed and numbered after the TER card record for that chain, with appropriate CONECT/LINK records.
