Description
As per Elaine's example from #1965:
open 3bp5
hide
delete ~protein
contacts /a&protein test /b&protein reveal true
Despite all the side chain atoms and the CA atom having their display attribute as True, the CA-CB bond is not displayed (nor is the CA atom). The CA atom does have its ribbon hide bit set. This was not the behavior when the contacts command was implemented.

From: Elaine Meng <meng@cgl.ucsf.edu> Subject: Re: tether issues in current ChimeraX builds Date: June 3, 2019 at 10:51:51 AM PDT To: Chimera Staff <chimera-staff@cgl.ucsf.edu> Update: in today’s development-daily and release candidate builds containing Greg’s additional code changes, I’m happy to report that these three issues look fine in my test cases: #1965 (missing tethers) #1966 (missing CA atoms) #1981 (disconnected nuc tubes)

Also looks fine in current daily build, in case you were thinking it might have gotten rebroken. I'm just using that same test case as in the initial report.
