The following bug report has been submitted:
Platform: Darwin-18.5.0-x86_64-i386-64bit
ChimeraX Version: 0.9 (2019-04-28)
Description
Hi,
The capacity to "snap" UI elements (e.g. the model panel or Side View panel) is great if one has a large monitor, but is not really suited to work on laptops. For example, I use a 13" MBP, and if I have a couple of panels snapped on the right hand side in ChimeraX the size of the actual working area is really small.
However, if I de-snap all the panels and just have them as floating windows, every time I try to rearrange them they try to snap to one part of the main GUI or another. Would it be possible to add a preference to disable UI snapping? Apologies if it already exists and I missed it somehow - I did try to find such a setting but without luck.
Cheers
Oli
