The constructor call QWebEngineProfile(parent) with parent = QWidget that is the file history thumbnails (main_window.rapid_access) created in the stacked widget in the QMainWindow while the ChimeraX MainWindow constructor. So this is at startup. Maybe the trouble is that the file history widget is somehow not valid.
