Description

Dear ChimeraX Support Team,
I am encountering an issue when using the Dock Prep function in ChimeraX on a Windows machine. When I attempt to run it, I receive the following warning message:

(YBG) bash.exe: warning: could not find /tmp, please create!

Despite attempts to resolve this by manually creating a C:\tmp directory and setting the TMPDIR environment variable to point to it, the warning persists. I've tried setting TMPDIR, TMP, and TEMP in both user and system environment variables, but the issue remains unresolved.
Could you please advise on how to correctly configure the environment
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,

Hi Antoine,

Thanks for reporting this problem. It is basically harmless and you could ignore it. It occurs because we use Cygwin libraries to execute the AmberTools programs (antechamber; sqm) that ChimeraX uses to compute charges. If you really would prefer to get rid of that message, I believe that creating the folder C:\cygwin\tmp will do so.
