Hi,

Can you provide some more information about what you were doing when the crash occurred? Were you using the Open File dialog? Were you running multiple instances of ChimeraX? Were you using remote display? Did you have the RESTServer tool running?

Hi Eric,

I believe this crash was caused by the open file dialogue. It appears to occur when I have opened ChimeraX through the Phenix shortcut following a real space refinement job. Ie Phenix 'Open in Chimera' -> opens map/model -> open file.

I was able to run a Phenix real-space refinement and open the results in ChimeraX and then use the open-file dialog without a crash. It was on a Mac though -- I will need to try on Linux.

It worked on Linux too.

When you got the crash, was Phenix running on a remote machine and displaying back to your workstation?
