Description

Hello,

Great work on Chimera.

Not a bug, really. Today, after downloading chimerax-rc.dmg (Nov 14 2024) from page https://www.rbvi.ucsf.edu/chimerax/download.html I checked the md5 hash and it doesn’t match the web page. The June 10th version is fine.

The Nov 14th version doesn't match the given hash md5: 963b61ed049513ad1bd63ef1d01746a9

> % md5 ~/Downloads/chimerax-rc.dmg
> MD5 (/Users/robert/Downloads/chimerax-rc.dmg) = 96832fee5c99e80a827b25074b0630b1

The June 10th version matches the given hash md5: 1842bc5172363c44af77adfd535274c2

> MD5 (/Users/robert/Downloads/ChimeraX-1.8.dmg) = 1842bc5172363c44af77adfd535274c2

Probably just a lag in the page updating but just thought I’d signal it…

cheers

Probably a delay in updating the website. Today's build's hash is 9f117775cfb8269388820a39489932b5 on my machine and on the website. Since we don't keep an archive of old builds and hashes except for releases, I'm not able to reproduce this today. I notice that the Linux builds haven't been updated since the 14th; the Ubuntu 24.04 package's md5 is correct. As is the daily build's hash.
